About Dakota

Dakota Systems was founded in 1984 by John Thomas. John recognized the need for outsourcing of ultra-high purity gas and liquid distribution systems, primarily for the semiconductor fabrication equipment market. The company developed core competencies in orbital welding of stainless steel tubing, and over time developed expertise in controls as well. Along the way, Dakota Systems developed design and manufacturing engineering experience, and is able to provide customers full service design assistance as well as manufacturing expertise. This has enabled Dakota to manufacture complete platforms and process tools for it's customers.

Leveraging these capabilities, Dakota Systems today serves a variety of markets, including biopharmaceutical and life science, industrial and renewable energy.

Dakota Systems occupies 38,000 square feet of space in Dracut, MA. The main Dakota facility has 28,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space, providing high bay and clean room manufacturing space. In 2007, a new facility was opened, also in Dracut providing an additional 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
