Until the mid nineties, Dakota's principal focus was on the design and manufacture of ultra-high purity systems that contain and distribute gases (inert, toxic and corrosive) and liquids. To dilute the effects of the cyclical semi industry, Dakota has successfully diversified into engineering and manufacturing custom Bio Pharmaceutical systems as well as a broad range of other subjects. Today the present good health of company is contributed to by the integration of markets including Academia, Biopharmaceutical Defense, Industrial, Photovoltaic, and Semi.

The name "Dakota" is derived from the name of a nation comprised of several southwestern Native American tribes who successfully and peacefully resolved issues through collectively sharing wisdom and ideas. Choosing this name for our company reflects our collective approach to problem solving and the value we place on the sharing of strengths to create positively charged solutions.
