We seek an assembler with good mechanical assembly skills to work in one of our assembly areas.  You should have about 2 years of assembly experience from a like manufacturer.  This position will at first be pay rolled through a temp agency.  In this position you will…

• Perform a variety of semi-repetitive operations to assemble precision electromechanical products where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production planning or detailed written instructions
• Reads connection diagrams
• Work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process
• Assemble fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units
• May perform sub-assembly tests to meet tolerances and product specifications
• Use hand tools and small power tools to assemble units; sets up and adjusts accordingly
• Dripping and tapping skills; familiar with use of squares, levels, and calipers
• May interface with engineering and quality departments
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• May require computer to record work in process
• Read assembly drawings
• Familiar with ESD
• Performs peer inspections
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
