We are in need of an Orbital Welder II in our machine shop. This position will at first be pay-rolled through a temp agency. - Perform orbital welding of tubing and components
- Work with stainless steel only
- Set up and calibrate power supply with the correct welding program
- Weld together metal components of products such as piping systems, pipe and tube or structural shapes, using arc and arc gas welding equipment
- Work with conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Read electro-mechanical diagrams, drawings, and work orders
- Maintain regular checks on welding equipment ensuring that machines are operating properly
- Work towards Dakota welder certification training
- Plan work and selects proper tools working within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings
- Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects
- Manipulate parts to match print and dimensional specifications
- Complete parts to acceptable standards insuring customer satisfaction
- Train Orbital Welder I level employees
- May perform some limited E/M assembly
- May conduct process and peer inspections
- Meet Established labor standards
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
