Tack Welder – Temp to Perm

We are adding a Tack Welder to our clean room 100. This position will at first be pay-rolled through a temp agency.  You should possess a Technical HR diploma and 2 years of tack welding experience. In this position you will…

– Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process, including weld requirement symbology

– Work with stainless steel only

– Set up and calibrate power supply with the correct welding program

– Perform tack welds

– Maintain regular checks on welding equipment ensuring that machines are operating properly

– Work towards Dakota welder certification training

– Plan work and selects proper tools working within precise limits or standards of accuracy

– Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings

– Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects

– Manipulate parts to match print and dimensional specifications

– Complete parts to acceptable standards insuring customer satisfaction

– Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

– Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate tack welding techniques

– Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for stainless steel material

– Work with conventional and precision measuring instruments

– May conduct process and peer inspection

– May perform limited E/M assembly
